Established in 2006 with a small number of students, JDA has grown steadily over time. It currently accommodates about 400 students from all over the east African region. With State-of-the-art facilities that include a science lab, an ICT lab, a main hall, outdoor games fields, a well equipped library, classrooms and a playing field. It has accreditation status with NCIS, and the Ministry of Education and Sports.
Students participate in an extensive range of extracurricular activities including outdoor education and field trips, The holistic education provided by the school also fosters involvement in community building activities.
Joy Dominion Academy started out as a girls-only secondary school located along the Jinja-Iganga Highway in Musita, Mayuge District, Uganda (East Africa). Not until 2017, Joy Dominion Academy was the only girls’ school in the district of Mayuge providing quality education.
In 2016, after a board meeting, it was passed by the members to start admitting boys too, and as that, Joy Dominion Academy is now a mixed boarding secondary school.
Admission to the school is on merit and though it’s founded on the Christian faith, it admits students of all faiths. It provides secular education which is in line with the Uganda national goals and objectives of education. The school recognizes the global trends and has always organized and re-organized its curricula to suit the needs of the changing world basing on the national curriculum.

LOCATION:
The school is located along the Jinja-Iganga Highway in Musita, Mayuge District, Uganda (East Africa). It’s approximately 20 kilometers (12 mile) between Jinja and Iganga Towns, Busoga region’s largest towns. The school grounds cover an area of over 10 acres on the main road.
It is bounded on the North by the Jinja-Iganga Highway and on the West by smallholdings and Musita town to the East.
